Summary. Advanced aircraft electronic countermeasures technicians, at the IMA, inspect, test, maintain, repair, and analyze airborne weapon replaceable assemblies, shop replaceable assemblies, automatic test equipment, and ancillary equipment failures beyond normal fault isolated procedures.

Requirements/Prerequisites

(1) Satisfy requirements/prerequisites for MOSs 6482 and 6484.

(2) Must have normal color vision.

Duties

(1) GySgt and SSgt:

(a) Possesses a thorough understanding and working knowledge of sound management principles, work center supervision, proper methods of training personnel and accepted and approved naval aircraft maintenance procedures.

(b) Performs quality assurance inspections for maintenance actions performed on equipment/components at the IMA level.

(c) Assists in the planning and scheduling of work center assignments.

(d) Monitors source data collection and assists in the preparation of work center reports and records.

(e) Performs expanded weapon replaceable assembly and test program set troubleshooting, using concise fault isolation procedures and a fundamental understanding of computer language at the programmer level associated with ATE in support of naval aircraft.

(2) GySgt: Organizes and administers facilities for the maintenance and repair of airborne weapon replaceable assemblies and shop replaceable assemblies maintained on ATE as well as support of ATE.
