Summary. Aircraft electrical equipment test set technicians, at the IMA level, inspect, test, maintain, and repair airborne weapon replaceable assemblies, Shop replaceable, and ancillary equipment whose aggregate constitutes a complete aircraft weapon system.

Requirements/Prerequisites

(1) Must possess an EL score of 105 or higher.

(2) Complete the Avionics Technician Course, AV (A1), at NATTC, Pensacola, FL, and the appropriate NAMTGD courses.

(3) Complete one or more NAMTGD, or equivalent, IMA maintenance/factory level school(s), and a sufficient period of OJT to qualify as an aircraft EETS/METS technician.

(4) Must have a secret security clearance.

(5) Must be a U.S. citizen.

(6) Must have normal color vision.
