Summary. The artillery electronic systems repairers specialize in the repair and maintenance of the AN/USQ-70 Position and Azimuth Determining System (PADS) and OD-144 (GDU). These systems are used in field artillery fire direction and control, and survey data reduction. Typical duties include inspecting, testing, and repair of the PADS and GDU.

Requirements/Prerequisites

(1) EL 115 or higher.

(2) Complete the Basic Electronic Course, and the (Army) Telecommunications Terminal Device Repairer, and (Army) Special Electronic Devices Repair Courses.

(3) Minimum of 1 year high school algebra.

(4) Must be a U.S. citizen.

(5) Must be eligible for a secret security clearance.

(6) Normal color vision required.
