This Instruction implements Public Law 99-145, Section 806, as amended (Title 10, United States Code, Section 133 Note) and Executive Order 12568, October 2, 1986, to establish policy, assign responsibilities, and prescribe procedures for improved employment opportunities for spouses of active duty military personnel stationed worldwide. Supersedes DoDI 1400.23 and DoDI 1404.11.
