This Directive reissues DoD Directive 1338.4, July 20,1971, discontinues certificates of eligibility for Service members, and provides policy for continuing and terminating the payments of mortgage insurance for Service members as prescribed in the "National Housing Act," Section 222, as amended (12 U.S.C. 1715M).
