This Directive reissues DoD Directive 1300.6, May 10, 1968 (hereby canceled), to update uniform Department of Defense procedures governing conscientious objectors and processing requests for discharge based on conscientious objection. DoD Directive 1300.6 is hereby superseded and canceled.
