This Directive reissues DoD Directive 1005.13, "Gifts from Foreign Governments,"dated July 20, 1996, to implement section 7342 of title 5, United States Code, and update DoD policy and responsibilities governing the acceptance and retention of gifts and decorations from foreign governments.
