| Norfolk, Va., Sept. 15, 1999 — Crewmembers from along with Naval Base Norfolk Public Works personnel hustle to load supplies on to the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) pierside at the Naval Station in Norfolk. Eisenhower and over eighty other U.S. Navy ships were sortied from the Norfolk, Va., area to avoid the heavy seas and damaging winds of Hurricane Floyd.
