| The Arabian Gulf, Nov. 15, 1999 — The crew of USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67) pay final respects to Naval aviators from the ship's air wing who lost their lives yesterday in a non-hostile mishap while conducting routine flight operations. The two were killed when their S-3B Viking crashed shortly after take-off on a routine mission in support of Operation Southern Watch in the Arabian Gulf.
