Duties:
Manages, supervises, and coordinates the organization, direct and general
support maintenance activities for engineer equipment. Oversees the repair
of power generating, earth moving, earthshaking, earth compacting, earth
lifting, earth loading, quarrying, rock crushing, road surfacing, water
purification, water distribution, refrigeration, air conditioning, water
gap crossing, POL transferring and engineering electronic equipment.
Minimum
prerequisites:
- Be a SGT(P)
(E5P) or above and six years field experience in MOS 62B
or MOS 63B, 52D,
52X with at least one year experience
in an engineer unit. (Recruiting, Drill Sergeant and other non-technical
duties are not considered field experience) (USAR, Army National Guard:
Civilian experience related to MOS 915A will be taken into consideration).
- BNCOC
graduate from a feeder MOS.
- Provide
a hard (paper) copy of three NCOERs which reflect recent outstanding
and exceptional duty performance ratings in a maintenance supervisory
capacity. Copy of three NCOERs must be provided even if already on service
member's fiche.
- Enclose
a written recommendation from a Warrant Officer from within the applicant's
organization who holds the WO MOS the applicant is applying for. In
organizations where no WO in the correct MOS is available, a letter
of recommendation from a senior WO in the correct MOS from a supporting
maintenance unit can be substituted.
Preferred
qualifications (Minimum plus):
- SSG with
7-9 years of unit (organizational) or DS/GS maintenance shop experience
in a feeder MOS with three years being supervisory.
- Have 30
college credit hours or one year of automotive, electronics, or power
generation related, maintenance, vocational technical training, or possess
current Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
- Applicants
exceeding 12 years Active Federal Service (AFS) at the time of application
submission must be approved by HQDA.
- Have
completed a minimum of six credit hours of college level English. (Successful
completion of the English College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is
the only acceptable substitute). Speech is not considered an English
substitute.
