Collar Insignia: A shield, 3/4 inch in height surmounted by a gold color eagle displayed with wings reversed 1/2 inch in height; the chief of the shield is blue with silver stars reflecting the grade of the general officer the aide is serving, and 13 vertical stripes, seven silver and six red.
The insignia was approved in 1902.
