The below disqualifying conditions are in addition to the disqualifying conditions listed in the Military Medical Accessions Medical Guide. Unlike medical waivers to join the military, medical waivers for aviation duty are much harder to come by. The causes for medical unfitness for flying duty Classes 1/1A/2/2F/2S/3 are: a. Classes 1/1A/2/2F/2S. Failure to meet linear anthropometric standards. Total arm reach equal to or greater than 164.0 cm. Sitting height equal to or less than 102.0 cm (except equal to or less than 95.0 cm for Class 2S). Crotch height equal to or greater than 75.0 cm. b. Class 3. Linear anthropometric measurements and body composition not compatible with aviation or crew member safety, or operational effectiveness at the Class 3 aircrew member’s workstation.
