The below disqualifying conditions are in addition to the disqualifying conditions listed in the Military Medical Accessions Medical Guide. Unlike medical waivers to join the military, medical waivers for aviation duty are much harder to come by. The causes for medical unfitness for flying duty Classes 1/1A/2/2F/2S/3 are: a. Orthodontic appliances, if they interfere with effective oral communication, or pose a hazard to personal or flight safety. b.
