I Installer
a. Description of positions. Identifies positions that require assignment
of soldiers qualified to perform installation and or de-installation of electronic
equipment (normally fixed station) systems or subsystems on a full-time basis.
b. Qualifications. Must successfully complete the Basic Installer Course
(BIG) at USAISC, Ft Huachuca, AZ.
c. Restrictions. Installer positions will be classified in an appropriate MOS code, normally maintenance, consistent with the standards of grade in paragraph 3-7. SQl I will not be used to classify positions lim ited to setting up portable equipment or for positions limited to admin istrativeclerical, supply, or support of the installation function. Authorize use for MOSs associated with CMF 29, 31, 33, and 74 only.
