27H--HAWK Field Maintenance Equipment and Firing Repairer (HAWK FMEIFS Rep), CMF 35
a. Malor duties. The HAWK field maintenance equipment and firing section repairer performs or supervises unit level, and direct and general support(DS/GS) level maintenance on HAWK Field Maintenance Equipment (FME), Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), Pulse Acquisition Radar (PAR), standard and system pecuiiar test equipment and performs or supervises DS/GS level maintenance on electrical, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical hydropneumatic, and electromechancial portions of the HAWK system. Duties for MOS 27H at each level of skill are:
(I) MOSC 27H10. Performs DS/GS level maintenance on the electronic systems of the PAR and the electrical, electronic, hydrau lic, hydropneumoatic, mechanical and electromechanical portions of the HAWK launcher and loader transporter. Performs DS/GS level maintenance on the mechanical, electro-mechanical and cooling sys tem portions of the Continuous Wave Radar (CWAR), High Power Illuminator Radar (HIPIR) and PAR. Operates and performs unit and DS/GS level support maintenance on FME, ATE, standard and
system peculiar test equipment. Performs tests and adjusts compo nents to specific tolerances and determines shortcomings and mal functions in electronic assemblies, subassemblies, modules and circuit elements with common and system peculiar test equipment. Determines serviceability and disposition of defective assemblies, subassemblies, modules and circuit elements. Repairs unserviceable items by removing and replacing defective components. Performs load testing, maintenance calibration, and repair of system-related tools and equipment. Operates and performs unit level maintenance on Shop 20 and Shop 21. Operates and performs unit and DS/GS level maintenance support on the Mobile Team Shop (MTS). Per forms quality control measures and serves on maintenance and in spection teams, Completes maintenance and supply forms.
(2) MOSC 27H20. Performs duties shown in preceding skill level and provides technical guidance to lower grade personnel in the accomplishment of their duties. Performs initial, in-process and final type inspections of designated system items and their assem blies, subassemblies, modules and circuit elements. Installs equip ment modifications and provides technical assistance to supported units.
(3) MOSC 27H30. Supervises duties shown in preceding levels of skill, Implements quality control measures, determines faulty work practices and demonstrates proper maintenance and troubleshooting techniques. Isolates malfunctions in system interface circuits, Performs as maintenance technical inspector. Supervises maintenance and inspection teams. Trains lower ranking personnel in technical aspects of FME, ATE, PAR, standard and system pecul iar test equipment and mechanical and electromechanical repair of the HAWK system. Prepares maintenance and supply forms.
(4) MOSC 27H40. Performs and supervises duties performed at preceding levels of skill. Establishes workloads and repair priorities. Recommendsprocedure for receipt, storage, inspection, testing and repair of items. Instructs lower ranking personnel in the technical aspect of FME, ATE, PAR, standard and system peculiar test equip ment and mechanical/electromechanical repair of the HAWK sys tem, Organizes and conducts on the job training (OJT) programs. Establishes and maintains maintenance records. Prepares mainte nance reports.
b. Physical demands rating and qualifications for initial award of MOS. HAWK field maintenance equipment and firing section repairer must possess the following qualifications:
(I) A physical demands rating of moderately heavy.
(2) A physical profile of 222221.
(3) Normal color vision.
(4) A minimum score of 110 in aptitude area EL.
(5) A security clearance of SECRET,
(6) A U.S. citizen,
(7) Formal training (completion of MOS 27H Course conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army Ordnance Missile and Muni tions School) mandatory; or waiver may be granted by the Com mandant USAOMMCS, Redstone Arsenal, AL 35897-6000.
c. Additional skill identifiers.
(I) P5--Master Fitness Trainer.
(2) 2S--Battle Staff Operations (skill level 3 and above).
(3) 4A--Reclassification Training.
(4) 8A--Identiflcation Friend or Foe (1FF) Repairer.
