Mission:
FORSCOM trains, mobilizes, deploys and sustains combat-ready forces capable of responding rapidly to crises worldwide.
FORSCOM is the Army component of U.S. Atlantic Command. Consequently, the FORSCOM commander functions as commander
of the Army forces of this unified command and plans for and provides military support to civil authorities, including
response to natural disasters and civil emergencies. FORSCOM now has forces deployed to support contingency operations
in more than 24 countries. FORSCOM is also supporting counterdrug operations within the United States through Joint
Task Force-Six.
