11G4, Staff AFSC
Qualified AFSC 11G3

Specialty Summary. Develops plans and policies, monitors and evaluates operations, coordinates staff activities, and advises commanders. Related DOD Occupational Group: 2G.

Duties and Responsibilities. Monitors, evaluates, and directs flying operations and training programs. Develops requirements for equipment and training. Prepares and coordinates budgets. Analyzes rated manpower requirements and formulates personnel policies. Prepares, coordinates, and disseminates policy directives and implementing instructions. Develops contingency plans.

Specialty Qualifications. For entry into this specialty, prior qualification in any pilot AFSC (11X3) is mandatory.

Experience. None.

Other. None. NOTE: These AFSCs are only authorized to identify nonflying positions where designation of a specific pilot AFSC is not feasible. Use of shredouts with these AFSCs is not authorized.
