The Aerobic Fitness componant points are derived from a one and one-half mile timed run, or the Air Force Ergo-Cycle Test. The only people who are allowed to do the Ergo-Cycle test are those who are medically excused from running. "Medically Excused" means a medical profile, prohibiting running, issued by a military doctor. Aerobic Fitness is one part of the Air Force's total fitness test program.
