FY 2004 Basic Allowance for Housing Rates

Enlisted Personnel with Dependents

Military members who are authorized to reside off-base at government expense are entitled to a tax-free monthly housing allowance called Basic Allowance for Housing, or BAH. This allowance depends on paygrade (rank), location within the United States, and whether or not the member has any dependents (spouse and/or children).

Below are the rates of tax-free housing allowance (Basic Allowance for Housing,) that are provided to enlisted military personnel (with dependents) who are authorized to reside off base at government expense.
