FY2001 Flight Pay

Commissioned/Warrant Officers

Flight Pay for officers is officially known as "Aviation Career Incentive Pay." The pay is based on "years in aviation service," not years in the military.

Note: Army Warrant Officers do not get any higher rates after 22 years.

Special Notes (Applies to officers who had less than six years of aviation service after 1 Oct 91):

  • Officers must have either years of operational flying by their 12th year of aviation service in order to receive continuous flight pay through 18 years of aviation service.
  • Officers must have 10 years of operational flying by the 18th year of aviation service in order to receive continuous flight pay through 22 years of service.
  • Officers must have 12 years of operational flying by the 18th year of aviation service in order to receive continuous flight pay through 25 years of service.
