Staff Sergeant reaches into one of the boxes and pulls out a dirt-brown, foil packet. He says, "You maggots arrived too late to get hot chow in the chow hall, excuse me, the 'dining facility,' so your first meal in boot camp is going to be a real soldier's meal."

Holding the packet up high, he continues, "This, ladies, is a Meal, Ready to Eat, also known as MRE. It comes in 18 individual flavors, but you maggots don't have to worry about that tonight, as you'll eat whatever you get. You will eat everything except the coffee, sugar and cream."

Staff Sergeant Fear continues, "You will approach the cases one at a time, starting with this row. You will reach into the case and remove a MRE. You will clutch the MRE to your chest and you will sound off with your last name and the last four of your social security number. If you don't know the last four of your social security number you'd better look it up and know it before you get to the box. Understand me?"

"Yes Drill Sergeant"

"You animals must be weak from hunger. I can't hear you!"

"Yes Drill Sergeant!"

"Okay, start moving!"

"Adams, 5594"

"Billings, 7723"

"Jacobs, 4341"

Down the line until it's finally your turn. You reach into the box and take out a packet.

You "sound off" with:

Your Last Name and Last Four

"Double-Crap" and your Last Four
