What Congress Has in Store for Military Members in 2005
Each year, Congress determines military pay and benefit changes when they pass the Defense Authorization Act. Both bills have now been passed. Here are some of the major provisions of the bills.
Your FY 2004 Military Pay & Benefits
On November 7th (2003), Congress passed the Fiscal Year 2004 Military Authorization Act, and has sent it to the President to sign into law. President Bush is expected to sign the authorization bill into law soon. Here are the major pay and benefit provisions of the new law.
2003 Military Pay and Benefits
The House and the Senate have passed the FY2003 Defense Authorization Act and presented it to the President for his consideration on November 26th. The President is expected to sign the act into law in early December, with plenty of time to ensure that pay increases are seen by military members in their January 15th paychecks.
