Airborne Tactical Data System

Definition: (DOD) An airborne early warning system capable of integration into the tactical data system environment. It provides an automated, operator-controlled capability for collecting, displaying, evaluating, and disseminating tactical information via tactical digital information links. It is part of the Naval Tactical Data System (NTDS).
