Definition: (DOD) That base, airstrip, or other appropriate facility that provides physical support to Air Force special operations forces. The facility may be used solely to support Air Force special operations forces or may be a portion of a larger base supporting other operations. As a supporting facility, it is distinct from the forces operating from or being supported by it.
