Affiliation With The Department Of Defense

Definition: (DOD) Persons, groups of persons, or organizations are considered to be affiliated with the Department of Defense if they are:

a. employed by, or contracting with, the Department of Defense or any activity under the jurisdiction of the Department of Defense, whether on a full-time, part-time, or consultative basis;

b. members of the Armed Forces on active duty, National Guard members, or those in a reserve or retired status;

c. residing on, authorized access to, or conducting or operating any business or other function at any DOD installation or facility;

d. authorized access to defense information;

e. participating in other authorized DOD programs; or

f. applying or being considered for any status described above.
