Army Training - - MOS 35S - - PATRIOT System Repairer

Initial Training Overview: Training for this MOS consists of nine weeks of Basic Training, followed by 52 weeks of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) in two phases. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
Additional Training Information: Specific formal training opportunities for this MOS, including advanced training courses available at specific points of the soldier's career, can be found on the Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) Web Site.
Restrictions: During Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), the Army limits a soldier's personal freedom, using a "Phase System," which grants increased freedom, based upon phase of training. For details, see Army Training Phase Restrictions.
Training Details: Repairing and maintaining artillery and infantry weapons, cleaning and maintaining gyroscopes, sights and other electro-optical fire control components, repairing and maintaining missile mounts, platforms and launch mechanisms, isolating equipment malfunctions, testing and adjusting weapons firing, guidance and launch systems, developing specialized computer software tests, and inspecting, testing and adjusting components.
