Army Training - - MOS 35H - - Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment

Initial Training Overview: Training for this MOS consists of nine weeks of Basic Training, followed by 33 weeks, 2 days of Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.

Restrictions: During Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training (AIT), the Army limits a soldier's personal freedom, using a "Phase System," which grants increased freedom, based upon phase of training. For details, see Army Training Phase Restrictions.
Training Details: Operation of the US Army Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) Program. Operation, calibration, and troubleshooting of Army peculiar TMDE. Calibrating weather instruments, such as barometers and thermometers, rRepairing gyrocompasses, adjusting and repairing weapon-aiming devices, such as range finders, telescopes, and ballistic computers, calibrating engineering instruments, such as transits, levels, telemeters and stereoscopes, calibrating and repairing instruments used in aircraft, repairing watches, clocks and timers, and calibrating electrical test instruments.
