Military Christmas Around the World

Monday December 25, 2006
Being away from family and friends is a fact of life in the U.S. Military. Military members are stationed and deployed around the world, in many cases in locations where family members cannot travel. The military mission does not always allow members to take vacation during the holiday season, and military members celebrate Christmas in various ways. Here are some photos of military members during Christmas, around the World.

(1) John Scanlan says:

My C.O. was a firm believer in the training impact of film. Band of Brothers, 12 O’Clock High, and many others, served as lessons in Leadership, and Military Values throughout the history of armed conflict.

So it was no surprise, on Christmas Eve, 04, in the middle of the Kuwaiti Desert, when the Company was treated to a Seasonal Favorite, It’s A Wonderful Life.

Fast-forward two years…a recent viewing of that venerable film had me thinking of those sand storms, balmy 140 degree days, and cool 80 degree nights.

Thanks, Captain!
