Army College Fund (ACF)

Saturday September 13, 2003
Most people who enlist in the United States Military (any branch) are authorized to participate in the Montgomery G.I. Bill (MGIB). Under the MGIB, a military member's pay is reduced by $100 per month for 12 months (total of $1,200). In exchange, the MGIB will pay (for a full time college student) $935 per month, for up to 36 months of education (total MGIB education benefit of $33,660). See our article on the MGIB for more details.

The Army College Fund (ACF) is an enlistment benefit that adds to the MGIB. One cannot have the ACF without participating in the MGIB, as the two programs run hand-in-hand.

I’m trying to figure out why it is taking so long for my son Sean Frazier to get his ACF. I’m a SFC in the active army right now. So I would like a reply back on what I need to do to get his College Fund started. He goes to Queensboro Community College and has been enrolled for 3 months and hasnt received his money yet. You can call me at 1-877-262-3617.

Hi,
I’m Walter, I was wondering if someone could help me locate an original copy of my Army College Fund paperwork. If I could just get the right point of contact. Thank you!

I signed up for 6 yrs and was told I had ACF but when i got out VA asked for 3286-66 but it was not in my enlistment contract stuff. In fact I never remember even getting that form. I asked HRCC to send me it but they said they do not have it either. I have supporting documentation stating my 50,000 ACF option but VA says without my 3286-66 im screwed. I dont know what to do has anyone else been faced with this dilema? Any ideas.
