Army Plans to Move Armor Basic Training

The Army is planning to move OSUT (which combines basic training and job training) for new Armor soldiers from Fort Knox, KY to Fort Benning, GA by September 30, 2011. As Knox loses the Armor Center and School, it will become the new home to Human Resources Command and 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, with an influx of about 6,500 soldiers and other personnel.
