Troops in Iraq Can Drink Beer During Super Bowl

Multi-National Division–Baghdad has received permission to let its units enjoy an honest-to-goodness beer on game day instead of the near-beer soldiers usually quaff while downrange, according to an article in the Stars & Stripes.
General Order No. 1 has banned U.S. forces from drinking alcohol in Iraq since troops deployed to the Middle East. This Super Bowl will be a strictly controlled exception to the long-standing policy. Exact procedures have not been developed. But troops will be limited to two drinks, and the beer will be consumed in the dining facility where soldiers can watch the game, according to the article.
what about people who have to work during the game, the army needs to remember that somepeople dont work 9-5 5 days a week
A colleague of mine has a hubby in Iraq (Technically Air Force, but some cross-division-task-force crap… is stationed with Army)… he’s a Boston boy, who has had to DESTROY ton’s o’ beer as part of his job. I’m pretty sure he’s ALL MAN and cried at the same time!!!
Here’s to Jim, hoping he can get two Sam Adams and watch the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

You can tell that Flick hasn’t been in the Military…not everyone drinks and the ones who are on duty will watch a vidio and drink later !No kidden Flick…you can’t drink while your on duty..and no matter what the Military will find a way to handle it..your are a service member FIRST…No matter what you can’t drink while on duty and if your on duty and miss out thats too bad..thats is the way it is !
