Quartermaster Company Commander Relieved of Duties

WASHINGTON -- The commander of the quartermaster company from which 18 reserve soldiers refused to accompany a recent fuel supply mission in Iraq was relieved of her command today at her own request.

The Army's 300th Area Support Group commander, with the authorization of the 13th Corps Support Command's commanding general, approved the 343rd Quartermaster Company commander's request, according to a release on the American Forces Press Service.
