Automated Housing Referral Network

Friday July 9, 2004
Due to a DoD Quality of Life initiative, there is a revolutionary new way for service members to find homes at their next duty station and rent out their current homes to other soldiers. This DoD-sponsored website is located at www.ahrn.com -- Automated Housing Referral Network.

This website is a consistent, nationwide database of currently available rentals in and around U.S. military installations that displays fresh property listings that include photos, maps and robust information about housing for service members to make connections prior to taking a house-hunting TDY. Currently in the "pilot phase," it covers nine major military housing locations. Look for this new service to expand soon!

(1) Jude says:

AHRN will be deployed at all Continental United States AF bases by the end of March 2008.

There are also plans to implement AHRN at Air Force overseas locations once modifications to the software, needed for the large overseas operations, are incorporated.
