Changes to Air Force Dress and Appearance

The Air Force Chief of Staff has approved a number of recommendations from the 96th Air Force Uniform Board. According to a story on the Air Force News Service, the changes include the establishment of an Air Force PT uniform, authorization for conservative ornamentation on glasses, allow the wear of a personalized digital assistant, pager or cell phone on the uniform belt, and allowing the backpack to be worn over both shoulders.
Additional changes include redesign of the Security Forces beret, and allowing males to completely shave their heads or have military "high and tight" haircuts.
